Background

Faith Njeri is an Associate at OLM Law Advocates LLP, where she advises clients on employment and labour law, corporate and commercial matters, and regulatory compliance. She joined the firm following her pupillage and has developed a strong practice advising both employers and employees across a range of contentious and non-contentious matters.

Faith brings a meticulous approach to legal drafting and a keen understanding of Kenya’s evolving employment legislation, including the Employment Act, the Labour Relations Act, the Work Injury Benefits Act, and the regulations governing the National Social Security Fund and the National Health Insurance Fund.

Professional Experience

Since joining OLM Law, Faith has supported the firm’s employment and corporate practice on a range of advisory and contentious matters:

• Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, staff handbooks, and workplace policies for local and international employers entering the Kenyan market.
• Assisting with Employment and Labour Relations Court proceedings, including pleadings, witness statements, and legal research on unfair termination claims.
• Advising clients on NSSF, NHIF, and PAYE compliance, including statutory registration obligations for foreign employers.
• Conducting due diligence on workforce matters for M&A transactions, including review of key employment contracts and identification of TUPE-equivalent obligations.
• Supporting the corporate practice on company incorporation, regulatory filings with the Business Registration Service, and preparation of shareholder agreements and board resolutions.
• Advising NGOs and foreign organisations on registration requirements and ongoing regulatory compliance with the NGO Co-ordination Board and relevant county authorities.
